COURSE DETAILS

The leash or long-line should be a part of your Scent Work toolkit, not an afterthought or worse yet something you dread! In this course we will cover a variety of exercises designed to help you hone your leash-handling skills which will allow your dog to work efficiently and effectively.

SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS COURSE?

Do you fret about using a leash or long line during your searches? You are not alone! But, with this course, you will learn how to properly use these tools. That means no more fretting!

Are you interested in competing or are you competing already? Poor leash handling skills could be costing you Qs and titles!

Are you an instructor? Learn how to better help your students perfect these necessary skills.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS COURSE

  • your dog 
  • flat or martingale collar or back-clip harness
  • 8'-12' long line 
  • LOTS of high-value and smelly treats 
  • crate or area you can stage your dog in while setting up your searches 
  • minimum of 10 boxes of various sizes ( good excuse to shop at Amazon!) 
  • target odors (Birch, Anise and/or Clove) and odor vessels (metal tins, straws, tubes, etc.) (optional) 
  • earthquake putty or GlueDots (optional)
